What the extension stores

Redline stores your settings, installation date, daily aggregate usage by social site and one combined private-sites bucket, opening-tax and refund totals, post counts, and payment entitlement in your browser’s local extension storage. Up to 35 completed daily records and today’s record are retained while history is enabled. Disabling history and saving removes completed records and stops archiving new ones; today’s counters still work. Domains you deliberately add are stored as settings, without per-domain usage totals or a list of visited URLs. Temporary tab IDs and timestamps identify active visits. These totals are not sent to Redline servers.

How tracking works

On the seven supported social sites and any additional domains you explicitly enable, a content script checks page visibility and focus. The background script verifies the focused browser window and active tab before counting. Additional domains, including the optional 18+ starter group, require per-domain permission. There is no remote domain classification, automatic adult-content detection, or image analysis. Additional domains share one local private usage total, with no per-domain visit records. Redline checks X composer controls and success notifications for a creation refund. It does not store feed text, post text, account names, page titles, or full browsing URLs. It does not read your messages or network request bodies.

Payments

When payments are enabled, Redline uses ExtensionPay and its payment provider Stripe for checkout and purchase restoration. The packaged ExtensionPay library contacts extensionpay.com to check entitlement and may retain its user/license information in browser storage. A verified paid entitlement is cached for up to 72 hours of offline use and normally refreshed hourly. Checkout may require an email and payment information, handled by those providers. Your social-site usage totals are not sent to them. The initial seven-day preview uses a local installation timestamp and needs no email.

Partner links

Sharing is optional and initiated by you. A report link contains seven dates and rounded social-feed daily totals, the daily budget, and a post count in the URL fragment. All additional-site time, including the 18+ group, is excluded from newly created report links. Earlier report links remain readable. Anyone who receives that link can read or forward the snapshot. Fragments are not included in the normal HTTP request to the static site host. The report page loads no external analytics, fonts, or scripts. Cloudflare hosts the static website and receives ordinary request metadata such as your IP address. Its handling of that information follows its own policies. The extension does not send scrolling totals to Cloudflare.

Your controls

Pause tracking or turn social sites off in settings. Remove an additional domain to revoke its browser permission and stop its tracking. “Delete usage history” erases stored usage and visit data while preserving settings and entitlement. Uninstalling removes local extension storage; it does not cancel a paid subscription. Manage subscription billing through ExtensionPay. Redline has no advertising or analytics. Browser stores and payment providers maintain their own records.
